AITA Mission
The Voice of Alabama's Information Technology Industry
AITA advocates, educates and promotes Alabama organizations engaged in providing IT products and services. The goals of AITA are:
- To actively promote growth and serve as a voice for the industry
- To provide a forum for the sharing of business and technical experience among industry professionals
- To promote the desirability of Alabama as a place for IT industry and infrastructure enterprises to start, locate, grow and prosper
- To support members in marketing their products and services worldwide
- To provide and refer products and services that enhance the competitiveness of association members
What does AITA do?
Businesses and individuals find AITA an indispensable partner in successfully growing IT and IT-related businesses. AITA has a series of networking opportunities where members can build relationships, meet potential clients and learn about trends and developments affecting them. Programs present opportunities for technical exchange, education and relationship building.
How does AITA affect change?
The committee recommends legislation and provides input to policy makers. AITA supports additional legislation for tax relief, incentives for high-tech companies and laws that address the labor shortage. Members of AITA create a unified voice on key business issues.
Who belongs to AITA?
The membership of AITA encompasses all areas IT products and services, as well as companies that provide services to this industry. Member companies range from small, independent software developers to large, multi-national corporations. Current AITA membership includes:

How is AITA governed?
A multi-person Board of Directors governs the organization. Each year, members elect a subset of the board to serve a two-year term. The Board members elect six individuals to serve as AITA’s Executive Council. Executive Council positions include:
