Primary responsibilities include: develop and maintain a strategic plan for the hosting of all DAXKO products and maintain all data center systems, applications, security, and network configurations; troubleshoot network performance issues; troubleshoot in-house and third party software related problems including upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment; establish system monitoring and review system logs and plan the overall policies and procedures for the data center; create and maintain a disaster recovery plan and capacity plans to meet company growth projections. The individual must demonstrate the experience to set priorities, manage multiple projects, and execute the work to completion. The daily regime may range from working with consultants to determine the best long-term solution for DAXKO product hosting to setting up a new development or QA server. Strategic and tactical skills required. Must have a Bachelor Degree and 3-5 years experience as a System Administrator with production application hosting and support and be proficient with: Microsoft Windows Server 2003, RedHat Linux, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL; strong project/personal management skills; ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, autonomous environment; experience managing hardware and software purchases; strong virtualization experience; excellent problem solving and oral/written communication skills; ability to work constructively with the different personalities of the DAXKO team.
