Russell Carter Gache´Sirote & Permutt, P.C. Russ Gache´ is a registered patent attorney practicing with the law firm of Sirote & Permutt. Gache´ counsels clients in all areas of intellectual property's and has a focus on protecting intellectual property for computer hardware and software manufacturers, and internet related companies.Mr. Gache´ graduated from Duke University's School of Engineering in 1983 (B.S.E.E.) where he specialized in computer design. After graduation, Mr. Gache´ worked for Texas Instruments in their semiconductor division from 1983 until 1987, and joined LSI Logic Corporation in 1987 where he worked until 1992. Mr. Gache´ served as a military contract specialist for LSI in the Florida area and worked with companies such as Harris, Martin Marietta, Honeywell, and Hughes Aerospace. His responsibilities included negotiating and directing LSI's subcontracts pertaining to the design and manufacture of customized computer chips and design software. In 1992, Mr. Gache´ entered Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama, and received his J.D. in 1995. While at Cumberland, he achieved the honors of deans list and membership on the American Journal of Trial Advocacy. Mr. Gache´ joined the law firm Veal & Associates in August of 1995 where he practiced patent law with an emphasis in computer and electronics intellectual property law. He joined the state-wide law firm of Sirote & Permutt, P.C. in 1998 where he practices in their intellectual property practice group. He is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is licensed in the State of Alabama. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the International Law Section of the Alabama State Bar, and the Birmingham Bar Association. He also serves on the Computer Technology Committee for the Birmingham Bar Association, and was a manager of the web site for the International Law Section of the Alabama State Bar. Mr. Gache´ teaches at CLE conferences and is the author of various articles including, Resurrecting The Dead Through International Treaty, The Five Most Commonly Asked Patent Questions, and I Thought Patents were for Engineers, Chemist, and Scientist.
